Brain injury can occur Anywhere …….at Anytime ……to Anyone. In a mere instant, a life can be changed, forever.
Everyday activities produce endless possible risks for brain injury; a car accident, falls, contact during sports or a blow to the head during a violent incident. Despite the fact that brain injury is more common than breast cancer, HIV / AIDS, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis combined, it receives less than .25% (1/4 of 1%) of charitable funding than the total of all those listed.
The Brain Injury Association of Canada helps Canadians to rebuild their future by providing support, raising awareness and funding research for those with both visible and non visible disabilities.
